·   Create Fiber Optic database with Bentley Comms from Autocad as-builts and field verified data sheets previously not placed in Autocad.

·   Attend and provide information about the GAATN fiber network for the City of Austin utility coordination meetings

·   Provide updated prints and work orders from Bentley Comms for clients ie. AISD, COA, Travis County, etc.

·   Maintain and provide backups for the entire Bentley Comms database

·   Field verify fiber plant with Bentley Redline using provided laptop then trasfering updates to Bentley Comms

Draftsman

Maintained and updated existing aerial/underground plant and drawing of roadways for 7200 plus miles, using the Microstation/Bentley software package.

· Drafted and designed road base for large and small cities along with new subdivisions and commercial developments for placement of poles and pedestals within the cable television plant.  This included drafting the layout of the underground conduit, drop counts, both aerial and underground and all addresses pertaining to them.

· Provided and created templates for right-of-way permitting, formatting of Time Warner maps for utility coordination meetings and created overlays with Time Warner and other utility company drawings for the Texas Department of Transportation.

· Increased productivity by implementing a digital reference file (raster) into our 2D database to allow a faster engineering process for the customer base.

· Provided technical support on the Bentley software for the Design Department and Field Engineers.

· Coordinated with Construction Supervisors and Designers in scheduling and rescheduling projects around priorities while maintaining product integrity.

· Served as trainer for the Microstation/Bentley Comms software to all new employees and demonstrated to existing employees how to increase productivity and efficiency using this software.

· Drafted and updated a specification booklet for the Aerial Construction crew utilizing Manufacturing Product manuals and on-site locations to determine accuracy of equipment.

Designed high speed ADSL and lightspan equipment for SBC communications using Autocad 2000.

· Utilized SBC’s TP76400MP engineering standard manual, familiarized with telecomm equipment manufacturers such as Fujitsu, ADC, Telec, Hendry and Alcatel.

· Assisted with set up standards for Advanced Solutions, Inc., including floor plans for central offices, grounding schematics, wiring diagrams and front equipment views.

· Increased productivity in standardizing Autocad blocks and cells for the manufacturers, thereby eliminating my, and other CAD Technicians employment.
